by Dimajae Neal

I can hear them ringing
Church bells in the sky
Today there is no singing
No today is the day to cry

I wish to see them smiling
No reason see their tears
Raindrops are falling
End of service is almost near

Poor lost soul trapped in the casket
Your life has come to an end
Most has left the service
Except your dear old friend

I look down upon you
Staring wondering why
But then I see no casket
So I look up to the sky

The sky’s gotten darker
Darkness is all I see
Don’t ask for whom the bell tolls
The bell tolls for thee
